How do you price your art work?

The collection designs start at $165 per linear foot. Because there are many variations to any product, the next step to identifying the cost is to define the requirements. There are different thicknesses of metal, types of metal, size of posts and sub frame, intricacy of patterns, hand forged parts instead of pre-formed parts and type of paint finishes. The size of the order may result in a lower price per foot. We will step you through the process of identifying what kind of rail or product you want so we can give you an accurate estimate early in the process.

I want a design that uniquely reflects our environment and interests. What do you provide?

The artist works with you to identify your ideas, personal preferences, interests and environment. Together, you build the information that starts the design process. Some clients may not have any particular idea about what they want. They just know they want something different that expresses them. A skillful discussion can help you identify what you want and how your design can be created that is reflective of you . You can also elect to have an exclusive design done which will not become part of the collection of designs we offer.

Can I see how my art work will look in my environment before I place an order?

Estate Metals has a unique design service that shows you which designs will look best in your home or business. You provide the specifications and we provide a virtual model of how the stair or railing will look.

How are my railings installed?

We work with area certified installers. Usually your contractor or builder can recommend someone in your area. We have designed a unique system to make installation and shipping simple and easy. Shipping is easy because the rail is completely disassembled. No onsite welding is required. Installation of 70 feet of rail can usually be done in a day or two. The rail could be easily taken apart and moved. It has a sleek look when installed.

If I choose a planter, can I have railings and other accessories made using the same design?

Most of our designs can be used in different applications. We work with you to select designs that work best for the type of applications you want.

Do you manufacture products for both interior and exterior installation?

Yes. Estate Metals manufactures metal railings and other decorative metal for both interior and exterior use. Please indicate that your order will be used in an exterior installation at the time you request information. Some paint finishes are for interior use only.

What are your lead times?

Lead times vary depending on the product and the production schedule. Designs chosen from the Collection have a shorter lead time. All items are fabricated when ordered because of differences in sizes. The lead time for non-stock items will vary depending on the size and complexity of your order and EM current workload.

You will be quoted an approximate lead time prior to processing your order. When we have all the information that we need to produce your order, including signed approval drawings if needed, and after any required payment has been made, then your order will be scheduled and an actual lead time assigned. We will pay attention to shipping your order as soon as possible.

Do your railings meet code requirements?

Building codes and interpretations vary by locality. Estate Metals can build stairs and railings to meet any building code requirement.

How long does the powder coat finish last?

There is a one-year warranty. However, a powder coat finish usually lasts longer than the finish on an automobile.

What are the payment terms?

Most of our products are custom made for our clients. Therefore, at the time an order is placed, a 50% deposit is required and arrangements to pay the balance will be made. Before the order is shipped, the balance of the order must be collected. We accept personal and business checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
